Mending The Soul
“The process of healing is really a mending of the soul. It happens through a collective effort and with the help and support of nature. . .Somehow, we have forgotten that idea of collective healing and externalized the process. We’ve put all of the emphasis onto one person, the facilitator, who we feel is making the process “happen.” It has turned into something being done to us rather than something we are participating in together. “Come to a Shaman, come to a Master, a Teacher, whoever, and I’ll heal you” is the attitude behind this more external view of healing. When we externalize the process this way, nobody gets truly well, because it is the mending of the soul that counts. It involves taking personal responsibility and accountability for what brought us to this point and what will reverse it out, as well as finding ways to keep our energetic bodies in harmony once the phase is over. In this way, the practitioner and the facilitators are equally accountable.”
