Spiritual Gifts
“Contrary to general perception, spiritual gifts have nothing to do with abilities associated with the “New Age” genre of concepts. Spiritual gifts and talents are innate qualities of a developed spirit, which include compassion, selflessness, helpfulness, empathy, clear perception and comprehension, insightfulness, the quality of unconditionality (non judgment) associated with attitudes and actions, having the inner Knowing, gentleness, tolerance, Acceptance, etc.
When the phrase “spiritual gifts” is heard, most folks automatically think of the workings of mentalism, such as psychokinesis or precognition, yet true gifts of the spirit are behavioral spiritual graces. They are spiritual attitudes, thought, behavior, and perception. Few view these as gifts. Even fewer count them among their daily blessings.”
